{"id":5488,"date":"2015-09-09T16:48:00","date_gmt":"2015-09-09T13:48:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.cs-cart.com\/?p=5488"},"modified":"2025-12-17T15:31:22","modified_gmt":"2025-12-17T11:31:22","slug":"cs-cart-and-multi-vendor-4-3-4-released","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cs-cart.com\/blog\/cs-cart-and-multi-vendor-4-3-4-released\/","title":{"rendered":"CS-Cart and Multi-Vendor 4.3.4 Released"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Hello,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are happy to present to you another minor release of CS-Cart and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cs-cart.com\/multivendor\" title=\"\">Multi-Vendor<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img data-opt-id=1688001825  fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/mldi5dmmdvnt.i.optimole.com\/cb:sOwt.3b410\/w:auto\/h:auto\/q:mauto\/f:best\/https:\/\/www.cs-cart.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/434banner1.png\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cs-cart.com\/store-builder\/download\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"Download CS-Cart or Multi-Vendor 4.3.4\">Version 4.3.4<\/a><\/strong> lets you assign payment methods to shipping methods, adds birthday promotions, and improves the Upgrade Center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other honorable mentions in the new version:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Right-to-left languages support makes CS-Cart more convenient for Arabic, Hebrew, and Persian speakers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A new notice on the storefront warns customers if their browsers don\u2019t accept <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/HTTP_cookie\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" title=\"What are cookies?\">cookies<\/a>. If the browser doesn\u2019t accept cookies, the customer can have issues with logging in and placing orders.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can reorder products, categories, pages, and polls when you add them manually to the blocks in Design \u2192 Layouts.For example, when you showcase camping gear on your home page, reorder camping products to show tents at the top, sleeping bags in the middle, and backpacks at the bottom of the list:<br \/><p><video autoplay=\"autoplay\" loop=\"loop\" controls=\"controls\" width=\"700px\" height=\"400px\"><source src=\"https:\/\/www.cs-cart.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Manual-reordering.mp4\"\/><\/video><\/p><br \/><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Customers can sign up using emails that contain Cyrillic symbols and special characters such as !, #, $, %, and &amp;.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Admins create <strong>backup files<\/strong> only in the \u201czip\u201d format. We removed the ability to create \u201ctgz\u201d archives because they took too much operating memory during the archiving.<br \/><p>Note, that we&#8217;ve restricted <strong>only the creation of backups in the &#8220;tgz&#8221; format<\/strong>. Other functionality related to creating and unpacking archives was not affected. You can restore the &#8220;tgz&#8221; backups, install add-ons packed in the &#8220;tgz&#8221; archives, etc.<\/p><br \/><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>See all the improvements and fixes in the <a title=\"Changelog for 4.3.4\" href=\"https:\/\/docs.cs-cart.com\/latest\/history\/434.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">changelog<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id='assigning-payment-methods-to-shipping-methods'  id=\"boomdevs_1\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Assigning Payment Methods to Shipping Methods<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In earlier versions, the checkout page showed even those payment methods that a customer couldn\u2019t use with the chosen shipping method.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For example, your customers could pay only with a <em>credit card<\/em> when they chose shipping via <em>FedEx<\/em>, but they still saw other payment methods, such as check or cash on delivery, at checkout. These dummy payment methods confused customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In CS-Cart 4.3.4, use the <strong>Payment dependencies<\/strong> add-on to show only those payment methods that actually work for the chosen shipping method:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><video autoplay=\"autoplay\" loop=\"loop\" controls=\"controls\" width=\"700px\" height=\"400px\"><source src=\"https:\/\/www.cs-cart.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Assigning-payment-methods.mp4\"\/><\/video><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id='new-promotion-condition-birthday'  id=\"boomdevs_2\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">New Promotion Condition: \u201cBirthday\u201d<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>With the improved <strong>Age verification<\/strong> add-on, you can congratulate your customers on their birthdays with a newsletter and a personal discount:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>To offer a discount or a free shipping coupon to your customers on their birthdays, create a new <em>cart promotion<\/em> and choose the <strong>Birthday condition<\/strong> for it:<video autoplay=\"autoplay\" loop=\"loop\" controls=\"controls\" width=\"700px\" height=\"400px\"><source src=\"https:\/\/www.cs-cart.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/birthday1.mp4\"\/><\/video><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Export user data with birthdays from your store into a CSV file, and then import it to <a href=\"https:\/\/mailchimp.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" title=\"MailChimp email service\">MailChimp<\/a> to create a birthday mailing list and send birthday emails to your customers:<video autoplay=\"autoplay\" loop=\"loop\" controls=\"controls\" width=\"700px\" height=\"400px\"><source src=\"https:\/\/www.cs-cart.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/birthdayexport.mp4\"\/><\/video><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 id='upgrade-center-enhancements'  id=\"boomdevs_3\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Upgrade Center Enhancements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In 4.3.4, the Upgrade Center is safer and more informative:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Starting with version 4.3.1, an admin receives an email with a restore link after an upgrade. If the admin clicked the restore link by accident, the upgrade immediately rolled back.In 4.3.4 and higher, the admin has to confirm the restore. This maintenance patch enhances the Upgrade center so as the further upgrade to 4.3.4 will go smooth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>Tell us how we can improve CS-Cart on our UserVoice.
